The Bahamas, an archipelago of more than 700 islands and cays, is known for its dazzling turquoise waters, powdery white and pink sand beaches, and vibrant culture rooted in African, British, and Caribbean influences. Its history spans from the indigenous Lucayan people to its role as a haven for pirates in the 18th century, leaving behind colorful legends and a rich maritime heritage.

Nature lovers are drawn to the Bahamas for its spectacular marine environments, from the world’s third-largest barrier reef to the famous blue holes and underwater caves of Andros. The Exumas, with their sapphire shallows and swimming pigs, have become an iconic image of the islands, while Eleuthera’s pink sand beaches offer a quieter escape. Coral reefs and thriving ecosystems make it a paradise for divers and snorkelers.

Beyond the beaches, colonial towns, pastel architecture, and fresh seafood markets reveal a slower, welcoming rhythm of island life.
